Receiving D-Star signals from space

Two articles originally published in Break-In and written by John ZL2TWS have been published publically on our D-Star page. The articles cover the reception of signals from the D-Star ONE satellite.

395 6M FM is on air with a spare repeater. Main repeater had burnt out a PA terminal and stopped. The PSU rectifier shorted a diode and pass regulator transistor. Both Repeater and PSU are repaired. Not yet reinstated at MCL. Spare repeater performance is very good with a beacon keying every 9 minutes sending ZL2VH/R call sign.

1292 23cm FM ID beacons every 15 minutes with "ZL2VH E E E E E ZL2VH". See the repeaters page for more details on how to access this repeater.
